OUR PROJECTS
NEW HEALTH CARE PROJECT
Our new health care project will provide help to build necessary structures for the people of Madagascar.
Help Us Build a Hospital
Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world with a poverty rate of over 75% (2020). This poverty rate has inevitably affected the accessibility and quality of the Malagasy health care system. Poverty in Madagascar is a big problem, and without it being recognized the island will continue to be in crisis.
Education in Madagascar has been our main priority. Though this is very important to us, we also want to expand our projects and help the locals as much as we can. We are now focusing on building a hospital and we really need your help!
Increased Maternal Mortality
According to The Borgen Project, Malagasy women face maternal mortality with a rate of 335 deaths per 100.00 live births. Compared with the average mortality rate worldwide, the mortality rate stands at 211 deaths per 100.00 live births.
Child Labour
1 out of 4 children in Madagascar drop out of school to help provide for their families due to the poverty rate. Not attending to school as a young child but rather having to put their bodies through hard work is damaging to their health.
Poor Infrastructure
Madagascar also faces poor infrastructure which also affects the economy. Only 11% of 30.000 miles of roads are paved. This almost causes the impossibility for access to health care, especially during the nation's rainy season.
Why Donate to Project Help Madagascar
We are passionate about this cause and work hard to spread awareness of the situation in Madagascar. When donating to Project Help Madagascar, your donations will go directly to our current health care project where we will help build a hospital that is easily accessible to the locals.
What We Will Do
All donations to our current health care project will go directly to the Project Responsible and Mayor of Inanantonanana, Elie Jean Rakotonirina. Elie is responsible for the project in Madagascar and makes sure they have everything they need in order to start the construction of the new hospital.
